Good morning everyone!

Sunny, 30° so what's new? Maybe I can get that pump outside and do some serious cleaning. For sure tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone and stay warm and safe.

Good morning everyone.

Got another fresh inch of fluffy snow last night.

But the driveway and sidewalk were warm enough that it didn't stick there - just in the yard and on my truck.

Pretty much gone by the time I got home from the gym this morning.

Later . . .

Jim

Good morning gang!

Here is what is going on in my world right now.

http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/ne...rder-dies-after-spirit-mountain-accident

Needless to say, Sunday afternoon was not good for us.

Looks like a good chance for some pretty good snowfall totals later this week, possibly 12 plus inches. We are supposed to be installing some LVL beams in my basement on Sunday.

Have a good day everybody!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Sorry to hear about the death on Spirit Mountain, Ryan. What awful news.

Sunny and 50 today with Wednesday going up to 72! We are ready for that. Worked at the food pantry this morning. Working in my garden this afternoon.

Have a great day out there in Oldgasland

It is amazing to see the lake behind my house, still in a solid frozen state. Even during a "late year" it would normally be unsafe for travel and getting close to breaking up!
NOT SO this year! The Warden and I went fishing on the big lake last night, and there is a solid 3 1/2 to 4 feet of ice out there and its in really good condition yet! It will take a couple weeks of fairly warm temps to start deteriorating that monster! Until then, we are enjoying some very nice late season ice fishing. The Warden and I went out with my neighbor last night in my Sno-Bear ice fishing machine, and my first fish of the evening was this 26 inch monster! Of course, I always release anything over 20 inches, so that one goes on to reproduce and grow even bigger. It wasn't long after that, the Warden hooked into this jumbo 14 1/2 inch Perch. Perch this size just don't run in bunches, and to catch one is very fortunate and quite a thrill! We managed 5 walleyes and the perch before the bite died down and we headed for home. Hopefully we get several more evenings like that before we have to stay off the ice!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Afternoon everyone. Kevin, I knew you should be showing off some fish from the way you were talking about the ice the other day. At least somebody is getting something good out of this late spring we all are having! My fishing buddy stopped by today to see if I wanted to go try it thursday as we are supposed to hit almost 80 degress in the afternoon. Trouble is the wind is supposed to be blowing a gale ahead of yet another cold front that will bring more cold nasty weather through on Friday and the weekend. It just never stops. Nice and sunny here today but only about 55 degress and supposed to be nicer tomorrow and Thursday before the next blow. Oh well, not much we can do about the weather except take it in stride I guess. Going to take advantage of the weather tomorrow and go get my stash of pumps so hope my back holds up through that. Kind of anxious to get them home and see exactly what I have. Hope you have a gap of good weather, wherever you are, the warm just has to be getting closer......GB
