It is original and everything looks fine on it. I definitely think 1800 is a good price.

Hey, Scott. Go grab it today, for your friend's firm asking price of $1,800. It appears he'll be happy with that price....and you certainly should be! Don't wait for any more Old Gas members to tell you it's worth more than that! Just get the thing. Best of luck, and good wishes for getting lots of enjoyment from displaying this Mobil sign. John

Gentlemen,

I Purchased the sign!
Unfortunately the price ended up increasing significantly because of its popularity and my good friends new knowledge on its rarity. I can’t blame him...
Most importantly I’d like to thank everybody here on oldgas.com who helped me get the confidence to buy such an expensive piece. I hope to enjoy the sign for sometime to come. If for some reason it does have to go I will first think of oldgas and the people involved in making it great.

Thanks,
Scott
