Fake.Have never seen a pump plate with "make in USA 1949" or any other.

That one is definitely a fake. To me the best way to tell a fake is to see it and hold it in my hands. If it's on eBay and seller "doesn't know whether it's original or a repop", then it's likely a repop. This one looks like the typical 11 3/4" round repops they are making of everything else. In most cases, these signs were never originally made in that shape/size.

What are the clues besides "make in USA 1949". I saw one at Hershey this year and didn't pull the trigger because I just wasn't sure
