Doing some quick looking on Google that sign may be from as far back as the 1930s to 1940s. That may be why it's hard to find out any information on the sign.

Thanks for the interest. The red lights date it to at least the 40's.They later changed to all black.

My guess is this sign was used on a promo vehicle for parades, or TV commercials, racing, or a promo vechicle that went cross country for special events.
