Does anyone else have these on their 850? Mine only had a small piece of one on one side. I've owned several 850's and a couple were really nice and original but did not have these shade/deflectors. This last one I picked up was the first time I had seen them.
I found a set today. It looks like they might would hang down a bit below the bonnet when bolted up? Were they painted with a reflective type paint originally?

Mine look just like that. Can't tell if the were painted but a lot of pumps from that era had shades. You should have a set on your Apex 90. I'm guessing that they were painted some shade of silver.

Here's what's left of the one shade. If that piece had been gone, I would have never known about these.

I just went through all of my T-850/950 parts manuals and cannot find anything that even resembles the above whatever.
Original parts manuals dated 1932, another 1934, and another from 1935 do not show that whatever. Even an ad from 1931 does not show the item.
Must have been something Tokheim added later.
Posting Serial numbers would narrow down the era this item started showing up on the 850s.

I've had a couple of 850s and both had those reflectors. One had remnants of silver paint.

My parts manual dated 8-37 shows them, part #4437, reflector, a whole fifteen cents each.

They stay under the bonnet, hooking in the lip. I still have two sets. I have never had one that did not have them or remnants of them, always appeared white or what was left of white.
