So I picked that sterling sign the other day and in the same barn I found three Bennett air meters in original boxes- never taken out of boxes still have plastic over them from the fifties. Two are green one is red. Even the boxes say Bennett on them. Anyone have any idea of market value? I'm going back up Friday to try to buy and would love sone pricing assistance. Thanks guys

What model number air meter are we talking about? Have pictures?

Bennett and ECO shared the same factory location after 1930.

No pictures but I hope to come home with them all Friday. Has anyone ever seen that sterling sign I put s post up about? Can't find another like it.

Yes I have the other two one turquoise colored and another red. I paid quite a bit. Anyone have any clue of value? Just trying to see how much I can recoup for the two I'm keeping 😁

Bil, perhaps you would want to list the eBay auction number here, since you are an Old Gas member. Old Gas receives a small amount from eBay (goes to help run Old Gas), if a person bids through the link at the bottom of the page. John

Since the thread started out with a request for a value, clearly the OP thought it was worth more than $2,475. What do you think it is worth as a NIB Eco 98? Or is this a case of Great Expectations?

I can't believe anyone would bid it to that or that the OP thinks its worth more.
If you took the box and instructions away, 99.9 % of the people would think its just a very nice restored air meter( that would sell in the 1200 range)
So that is one expensive Damn box!!!

I agree with Minuteman--there were literally thousands of these air meters produced and having an NOS example is nice, but it really isn't worth that kind of premium! I still have a hard time with the $1200 valuation but they seem to bring it?
