I have never seen them before. I did bid on the round one. I would have went for the "balloon tire" one if I saw it.

I'm thinking fake! Strange same guy has these 2 signs that haven't been seen with original mounting brackets. Must be getting good at faking rust... Jim

I'm very skeptical of an air sign that advertises "balloon" tires or any specific tires for that matter. Is air made for balloon tires different from the air put in other types of tires? Seems a bit "gimmicky" to me.......

That four inch or so threaded pipe ,the same on all three seems a bit coincidental ,to me. When they were the same on the first two, I thought hmm. But all three?? Maybe I'll learn something here but now I'm more skeptical.

Look at the wear and edges close on the sign, I have only seen that "patina" if you want to call it, on signs that have been buried and dug up. And we all know there is usually more than one found when signs dug up.
Just an opinion but I believe you can't replicate that patina no matter what you use.

I agree that they look legit Kim. I want to believe that he found the mother lode somewhere. It's a shame that we(me)have to be so skeptical

Seller told me "They came from southern Michigan and were found under the floor of a old barn"

Good finds...

Not done yet, he has another balloon tire sign that he was supposedly keeping for himself but decided to sell. Starting bid at 2000.

I had a hefty bid in on that last white clam air sign but got blown away. Argh, I hate missing out on a rare early shell piece.
