Hello All,

Am still searching for some old family friends who had a heating business in an old Sinclair gas station building next door to their rural home somewhere in W. Central Illinois back in 1969-70. I was a kid at that time when we had a family picnic there and can't remember their name or nearby city/town.

I put together the below "composite" pic on my computer which closely resembles its appearance. That view would be from the road as the station sat sideways on lot with side of building facing road and front facing left towards their home next door.

Realize this place could have been overtaken by development over the years, but hoped that maybe someone here from that area might recognize it.

Thanks very much and have a Good Christmas !

John

Finally figured out how to post image directly from computer---it's been awhile... They'd painted the sign white when they opened the new business.

This place was most likely somewhere within a 30-90 mile radius of Canton, IL where my family is from.

Thanks again for looking !

John

Still searching for the location of this old Sinclair station which has probably been taken over by development...

Maybe there are some new members in the large search area who could ask around ???

Sure would appreciate the help...

The search continues----actually, place could have been up to 90 miles away...

Does it look familiar to anyone who might be within that area ???

Please feel free to forward the image and info to anyone who might be able to help...

Thanks again !

John
