So it is authentic? Is this a commonly repro sign or are these Texaco pump plates with made in USA and date in lower corners usually safe? Trying to get the facts on this stuff. Any help very much appreciated.

this is one of the most common pump plates produced & prices on these reflect this as there is an abundance of these signs.
yes they do re-produce this sign & can usually tell by the back of the sign, always buy the best condition as possible even if you pay a little more .. ... cool

Randy offers good advice. This is an item that is plentiful and mint o es aren't that more expensive than one with some damage. Just my two cents.
