We found a 93"x 27" Massey-Harris Dealer sign in our Grandparents Loafing barn. It was in the rafters. I know is has been there for at least 40 years or more. The wood frame? Is shot but the sign is still in good condition.
I need expertise on how to clean this so we can sell it.
Can anyone give me the correct steps and cleaner to use?

On the top right corner of this page, in the Google Custom Search form - type in

clean porcelain

In the results of that search within Oldgas.com you'll find many answers to your question.

I would not bother, You will get the same money from a true collector whether you clean it or not, If I was buying, I'd prefer to clean it myself. That's just my opinion.

To me, it's part of the fun to buy a dirty sign, then love it and caress it with my own hands cleaning it up....it's a bonding experience with my "new" sign, lol! smile

I think this sign was buried for decades in the ground, after being in a building fire.
Bar Keepers Friend powder did this...
