does wide Body means in this case from side to side of front or from frontside to backside ?.....
I just watching one here in Germany that seems wider from frontside to backside ( not like this one )....
Greetings
Andy

Hi Oldgasnuts

I´m evtl. gonna ad this to my Collection if I negotiate successfully with the seller here in Germany and if ist originally
Is this a Reproduction ??
I´m missing the rivetts at the front and isn´t it aged in a Special way ??
Why is it so wide from Front to back ?

Andy,
This is a wide body Wayne 60...
The frame itself is two inches wide on the wide body pump and only half inch wide on the narrow body.
Send a picture I can tell you.

By the pics.... it looks a little funny to me... hips look kinda short? Maybe cut down a bit? I'm just going by the pics? And yes it looks like a narrow body 60, but something is off about it in my opinion? Chris. Maybe it's a German pump thing? Lol

Notice the width of the outer frame where the arrows point to. The primer brown pump is a narrow body and green pump with black frame is a wide body.

Hi Guys
I have not seen it "alive" yet - it is advertised by a lady with exact These shots in our local classifieds. I´ts sitting around 250 km away from me ...
Since you don´t find many US-Pumps over here I´m not familiar with US Pumps ....
and @Cggas- Chris : Strange to me too - but who cuts the shape of a pump ? Right now it Looks more to me like a Piece of a excellent german Metalartist who does ( for example ) a proof of his skills for his education......Some years ago the work of a Carpenter was for sale - it was a tokheim made of Wood and only the pix from the inside showed that it was a exact reproduction made of painted Wood ....
I already asked her to get some more pix....
What also Sound srange to me it seems that she bought it years ago at an auction really cheap - wants now to get rid of it and i should make an offer far below market Price for a genuine one who is around 2 k ( ? ) ...
So it´s staying Kind of interesting...
Any more opinions and voting from you guys ???
What do you think about that strange rusty dial ??? doesn´t it look like the rust( who could be made artificial in a ratrodtechnique has to cover the fact that there is just a metalplate instead of the dial showing the wheels ???
Thanks
Andy
PS : attached all the pics i have so far from the ad...

Some of these posts were removed from a For Sale topic started by another member. This combines 3 similar topics into one and moves the off-topic discussion away from an active selling effort for a different item.

There was a guy on here years ago that made a tokheim 36B out of MDF (wood) it was amazing. On the Wayne 60 I don't see any of the screws on the top side panels, or on the face bezels?? Over here (America) sum pumps were cut down to be shorter and more modern looking..... and cars got shorter, and they also get shortened by some to get rid of rust. I would check it out before spending much on it. Chris

Using all the literature I have on the Wayne 60 (etc.) I have put together this list of facts and some pictures of the 60 series of pumps: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/wayne%2060.htm

If you want to enlarge the pictures, just click on them.

Thanks Jack and Chris for your reply
Yes - to me its the missing screws and the rusted dial that Shows no letterwheels inside and the way it is "aged" by sanding only particular spots of the case - if i look at the pix of aged pumps here they look completly different
Since its sitting a 3 hour drive away i ask the seller for more pix which i receive friday evening...
it seems that the ( Owner ) Lady has no idea if genuine or fake...
greetings

Andy
