I have been trying to research this but because of the name "Globe" almost everything I find is gas191 globes. I found a little on the company, started in early 1900's. Any way wondering value and rarity of this one. It is 54" tall, 30" sign diameter and 24 inch base. The front side looks ok but the back side is missing almost all of the paint.

So I am guessing I should use it to patch the floor in my old Chevy? No value?

While the graphics on this sign are great, the condition is poor. Many serious collectors would pass it by unless they needed the lollypop stand for a 30" sign they already have.

Putting a value on it is difficult because you have to match it up to a collector who willing to buy a sign in poor condition. Much easier to find a buyer for a sign in nice condition.

I recommend that you try to polish the better side of the sign with some automotive rubbing compound or polish. Clean it and then wax it with auto wax.

Since the sign isn't porcelain that holds value down in this case. Most 30" lolipop's tend to be porcelain btw. I'd say given the base and sign condition this would date from no earlier than 30's and late as early 50's.

The sign out of the ring/base would be worth ~$300 IMHO so add about $150-200 to that for the ring/base and you've got a generalized value.
