What your thoughts on do I put a globe on it or not? The top does not have a hole. Or leave as is? I am not repainting it. Thank for any in put.

It is always comes down to personal preference, but if it were my pump, I would not add a globe to it. In my opinion putting a globe on the short 80's makes them look top heavy and in this case would detract from the original patina.

I think the same as the others! Not every pump needs a globe to complete it. If you have a lot of globes, pumps are an easy way to display them, but several pumps were designed to go without and look good doing it!

Can't say I disagree, unless of course you have a factory globe mount top.

...leave it, or keep your eyes peeled for an original patina top with a globe ring...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Coming from the factory the only 80 pumps with a globe attachment were the Series 4 and 4BR (cyclops).

Someone on FB found a few in a river a month or 2 back. They were Mobil if I remember right.
I don't think they made a script top for Texaco tho????

That's what, I use to believe. I was in Washington on a road trip and personally held a nos Wayne 80/MS 80 top with a stamped depression for a globe ring. I tried my hardest, to buy it...but, it wasn't for sale.
