Can someone tell me why there are 2 different style hinges for the Tokheim 39 ? You have a one piece, then you have one that is two pieces,

On the pumps I have restored the one piece hinges were used on the tall pumps. The two piece hinges were used on the short pumps. For the most part they can be interchanged. The exception is on the short pump next to the nozzle receiver side. The one piece will hit the interior of the nozzle receiver and the door will not close. The two piece one has to be used there. My guess is that they redesigned the hinge so that the door could be removed with out messing up the alignment. The hinge has adjustment were the hinge mounts to the door. If the two piece hinge is separated at the split it will not mess up the adjustment when removing the door.
