I hope you didn't put holes in the paneling for the signs.
On a side note, I love the look of the cornices over the doors.

Looks good. I am planning out a globe shelf too and I was wondering how you've attached the shelf to the wall? I was planning on doing a shelf to hold 5 globes in milk glass globe holders so there's a little weight there. How do you guys attach the shelves to handle that much weight without the brackets showing?

Brian,
Home improvement retailers sell shelf kits that have a metal frame that lag screws to the wall studs and the shelf slides over it. They are called "floating shelves." No brackets are visible. Different styles and lengths. Be sure to check the weight rating of the shelf.

Brian make sure when tou attach the bracket your going into the studs. I used 3 inch screws... on this shelf there is a bracket that screws into the wall and rhe shelf locks in to the bracket like jim said
