one of the very large everything goes swapmeets that try to stick to auto related material ( and they are getting stricter)....petro will be mixed in with everything else and is one of my favorite shows....it will defintely take an entire day to go through it all.....and get there early wed or thurs for sure

see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

Just be aware that this show, especially in the spring, can be hit and miss with items in the petro subject. I live less than an hour away and between the cost of parking and the admission, I personally feel this show offers less every year. It's a great car event, it just lacks what I'm there for. Check it out for yourself, I just thought it might be worth passing on another view. Hershey in the fall is the better place to go for my dollar.............Dave

Dave, I have to agree with you, can't beat Hershey no admission and miles of treasures. Carlisle seems to be getting worse as far as petro every year. But if your already in the area check it out.

As a petro vender myself i have seen buisness decline probably 40% in the last three years. If you want to get any buys you need to go no later than Tuesday, which may not be allowed for the general public.Several people get vendor spaces just to come in early and ride around all day and get any buys, then leave on thursday to avoid the crowds. Also bring hot/cold wet/dry clothes as it can snow one day and be 80 degrees the next.

Blair, you are dead-on right. I went 2 years ago with my wife and son and we litterally got soaked to the bone. It rained in the worst way. I think we were there for an hour and a half before giving in to the elements........Dave

Guess I'll give my $0.02 here. Carlisle is a great car show, but pretty poor in the petro department. I see less and less of it each year and what is there is usually in the hands of people trying to make a mint off of car collectors who merely dabble in petro. I've come home with less and less each year. That being said, it's a nice way to spend a day regardless but I wouldn't travel a real great distance to attend. Hershey is by far the better option in that area for a destination trip. Hershey is simply impossible to get through in one day and there's a lot more petro. Still kinda pricy, but there's so much more of it, I always find a deal or two.

Can someone please lend me a couple of cents?

Carlisle in the spring sure is a great event. Hershey in the fall is a much better deal. Although the bestest bang for your buck now, is of course... Spring Charlotte!

Thanks all. Hershey sounds like the winner. I'd like someone to loan me some cents also...
