Could someone please provide a diagram for adding an on off switch to an old NPI neon clock. I would like to keep the clock running while being able to turn the neon on and off.

unplug the clock, open the clock up- disconnect one of the neon wires from the transformer going too power- run this wire thru the switch & back too power- simple task .. ... cool

As Randy suggested take the back cover off. Locate the transformer. Switch the 110 volt input wires (primary circuit). When working with AC you want to switch the black wire as that is the hot wire.

Don't switch the secondary wires, these are the heavy insulated wires going to the neon tubes. For two reasons; First reason you will be switching 5,000 - 10,000 volts, not a good idea unless you want a free perm. Secondly your transformer will be energized all the time.

Switching the secondary side of the transformer would be bad! (Pretty obvious though!)
