Boy I sure miss seeing those pump of the month threads. Maybe we could get those going again?? I would contribute when I could, if a pump I own was chosen as the pump of the month. Maybe even pump brands of the month being more general. Just something where we all could get involved and see everyones different kinds of pumps again! What are everyone's thoughts?

I would like to see a pump of the month thread as well and it would be great if people could contribute photos of some of the internal parts (ie light and gas manifolds, hinges, switches, window brackets, etc.) This would help people that are trying to find a missing part or better understand how a basket case pump goes back together. I would be more than glad to contribute.

All we need is for someone to volunteer to manage it. That person could ask a different person each month to start off with pics of a pump they have and then invite others to join in.

No question that most everyone would enjoy seeing it.

Who would like to take the reins as POTM host?

I'd love to see it started again and would contribute when I could. Due to our frequent travels I would hate to commit as the manager though.....GB

I'll do it. I will start March 1st. It's something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I will have to figure out what pump to start with. I will manage it and make it specifically for one pump a month. I feel like if I did just clockface, visibles, or electrics, then it would be too broad. If anyone wants to give me some pointers or anything let me know.

It will be best to pick a specific pump model for each month, like Wayne 866 or Martin & Schwarz 80 and even the lesser known models if you can find a person who owns one and will supply photos. Then ask others to add their photos.

Thanks Braden. This will be great. I hope it follows the format that " Hardy's Garage " suggested. Dan.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I hope to be able to make it what everyone is hoping for. Yes there will be common pumps that everyone can chime in and join, others will have less participation. That is simply due to the rarity of the pump. Being I only have 30 pumps and counting, I do not have a vast variety of pump models, but I believe that others that will have them will share hopefully.
