Here are my non gas & oil buys from my road trip to Nanaimo and Victoria.

The most desirable, collectible and iconic jukebox is the Wurlitzer 1015. It was the first jukebox made by Wurlitzer after the ban on the use of steel was lifted after the end of World War II. It was suppose to be built for only one year but due to the high demand it was built for 2 years 1946 and 1947. Total sales were in excess of 60,000. Which is the record for most jukeboxes sold of one model. Some of you may remember the 1015 from the TV series Happy Days.

This particular jukebox is Serial 1000497 meaning that it was built during the first few days of production. A very early jukebox. The Wurlitzer 4004 wall speakers are 20 serial numbers apart meaning they have been together for the past 70 years. The deluxe wall speaker is a reproduction but even so it worth over $2000.00.

Needless to say I'm very excited about this unrestored original jukebox and speakers.

The Junior has been cut down. The previous owner had a 1930 Ford Model A roadster with a luggage rack. The Junior was secured to the luggage rack.

I really, like this early (1940's) motorized folk art piece. When turned on the women is washing clothes, the one guy is cutting wood while the other is chopping wood. Yes, I am an eclectic collector.

Congratulation Dave , especially the original Wurlitzer model 1015 . If you are a Jukebox collector this is the one everyone wants , original examples are super hard to find , way to go . Peter

Peter, this one still plays 78's. A lot of jukeboxes with converted to play 45's as the 78's became less popular.

I love the look of that model juke box. Back in the day my grandfather had three juke boxes in three different bars in Maryland. When he went to the bars to collect the money he would split it with the bar owner. He was an engineer and made way more money off the juke boxes than at his job. He told me he paid off his house in 4 years from the money from the juke boxes. I asked him why juke boxes went out favor and his answer was TV. He was on vacation in Vegas one time and there was a juke box on display in one of the casinos that wasn't working. He asked the floor manager if he could look at it to see what was wrong and he got it working. My parents had one of the juke boxes that wasn't working so my grandfather and I got it back in working order. It was a flat top Wurlitzer 1938. They stopped making flat top juke boxes because people would put their beers on top an eventually spilled beer would make its way into the box. My parents had a cabin and that is where they kept the juke box until it burned to the ground taking the juke box with it, luckily nobody was there at that time just lost memories. Tim
