I've had this one gallon war bottle for many years. I don't remember seeing any collections of these on Oldgas over the years that I've been a member. Are there collectors of the one gallon variety. Are they scarce or doesn't anyone want to admit that they have the "ugly ducklings"!!

Keep in mind the dating of these bottles. During WWII, the government sanctioned the use of cans, so companies provided oil in this type of container. After the war was was over the sanctions were lifted, but when the Korean War started in 1950, the government again sanctioned the use of cans, so these bottles could be from the WWII era or the Korean era.
