I recently picked up a square lubester. It may have been for kerosene but either way it has 4 mounting holes on 2 sides near the top where I'm assuming a sign would have been. The holes are threaded. They are 14"x3.75" apart. Has anybody seen anything like this or know where I could get a sign (reproduction even) for it? Only been able to find one like it online and it was restored in texaco and it had a newer looking sign on it.
Thanks
Jake

Here are some photos of the lubester and the holes where a sign would have been. I still haven't been able to figure out what would have been on it. Any info would be appreciated.

Thats pretty strange, you'd think they would avoided putting holes there because of leaking. Never seen one like that.
Is that a hanging body in the background? Should we call the police, LOL ...

Its possible the holes are capped over on the inside before it was spot welded together but i have never seen that one before.

I've seen a similar setup before, they are threaded sealed "nutsert" type fitting

It took a lot of Internet searching but I found this picture. Anybody know anything about this sign or if there's any out there?

That seems like a great deal for the sign. There's one on eBay right now but it's more than I'm willing to spend for it.
