Hi guys,

Ill first start off saying im not a oil can guy, but bought this at a garage sale for .25 cents, but knew enough that it was old and cool. Anywho I've been searching for some info on it, with no luck. I did contact a local guy who runs a small petroliana museum and he said he estimated it from the early 1920's and from a local oil company. Both sides have the same graphic in the pictures, and the only significant damage is the one dent on the front face/side. Anyone know anything about it? Value?

Thanks, Brian

Likely has more value to a collector in that area Brian, than to say someone in California. With what you have into the can, you could find the local guy that has to have it, be nice and price it at say $200.00 or bend him over and try for $500.00...LOL
I'm sure you will do the right thing....lol..its christmas..

Would you agree on the early 1920's estimate?

If you want to find out the real value, put it on ebay and let us know the auction number. After it sells, you will know what it was worth, ON THAT DAY---, TO THAT GROUP OF COLLECTORS---!
