Let's see your photos of old gas stations and auto repair garages and dealerships that you've seen in your travels.

This station is still in operation with "full service" on Main Street in Columbia, Illinois. It has been in business for over 70 years. They still display Zephyr branding, even though that name was phased out decades ago.

This place is special to me because the owner sought me out through a connection with a local Oldgas.com member. They were sprucing up their 1960s Bennett gas pumps and wanted Zephyr "ad glass" panels to replace some that were missing. They came to my house, had a nice dinner and went home with the Zephyr panels they needed. I got to hear stories from the old days and now have a personal connection to a historic petroliana landmark.

Joanne and I took a drive up north on Friday for our Anniversary. On our way back home thru Osceola Wisconsin we drove past a BP station that started life as a Pure Oil Style Cottage Station. Haven't been thru there in 15 years so I was glad to see they are still using it!

They are still supplied by the same company from back in the Zephyr era, JD Streett. So they probably don't get much heat about changing. The current logo for unbranded gas from that supplier is ZX or Z Xpress.

Current logo is ZX for traditional Zephyr stations

Great photos, 60wayne! Love all of 'em. The Mobil globe peeking out of the octagon window of the garage attic brought a big smile to my face.

Cool station Jim and learned something about the company today.

Mike, around here that would have been torn down.

Good pics "60", keep them coming.

Looking for photos, etc from 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station and Pal's Diner, Rt. 17 Mahwah, NJ
