Heading to Hershey on either the 8th or 9th depending on rain. Anyone going either as vendor or buyer? Planning to bring the camera and take lots of pics. Will post 'em soon after for those of you never lucky enough to go. Hershey is a different experience than a pure petro event but definately a neat experience with petro mixed in. Meeting one gentleman down there and wondering if anyone else will be around.......Dave

Keith, great to hear from you. I would give my left arm to find another one of those oilers! I'd keep that for myself this time. You know to this day, I still have not seen another one anywhere. I still think back on that trade-- that was a lot of fun. Tell your Dad I'll try to locate your stand and stop by for a visit. Hope to make a couple visits actually and meet some new faces............Dave

I'll be there tuesday through Saturday. Our spaces our RCD 72 73 and 74. Also have a 1939 Plymouth Cabriolet in the auction this year. For those who got the Kruse magazine for the auction they send out under the picture they put "1966 Plymouth Fury 1 Police Car" as a mistake but was too late to fix. Like most years I dont stay at the spots too long but for the most part ill be around the Plymouth where they keep them by Giant Stadium for show until the auction cleaning it up. No signs or anything most likely for sale but we might bring a 1932 Plymouth PB coupe for sale.

I have a question -- Last year, there were no vendors set up in any of the grassy areas behind the giant center. Looks like many of them were paved? Will this be the same setup this year?

From the looks of the maps I have it appears to have the same layout as last year. Everything around the Giant center is either in the north or west lots. Hope that helps! Andy

All flea market vendors are now on pavement. No more mud runs!

There has been an effort to change things in Hershey so that the mud issue is less of a problem although parking in many or most cases will land you in a field of grass. It is just that time of year around here and rain just seems to be more plentiful at the wrong time. The changes do seem to be helping though..........Dave

best described...

to us young bucks it use to appear kind of centrally squared and no sweat even in the grass that usually ended up mud

now to us old guys... although pretty much all on pavement .. it seems to be at surely a mile wide and at least 4 miles long... a very, very long ways to anywhere!

thank God for a vendor pass, bicycle, two-way radios and the blacktop
