I'm planning on being there. Where I don't know other than somewhere on the Green field.

I'll be going the week before to a show in Commerce GA, but the plans are to bring a couple OPACO lubesters, the big 76 Daytona lighted sign and some other pieces. Plus pedal cars and wagons which always sell good at Charlotte.

If you're doing only 1 day Thursday is good for gas & oil related, though I have to say Friday you'll find more people having everything finally displayed in view.

Really last years show was way off from the norm. Not sure why but I hope this year will be a great show.

I agree Henry. The winter has been much better this year so I'm crossing my fingers!

I did the auto fair for years, it has continually gone down. Pricey admission, to walk around and see basically Flea Market Junk! Food is priced crazy, and you very seldom find anything remotely rare. QUIT WASTING MY TIME ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO, and only live 20 miles away! If you come, be prepared to get sunburnt, blown away, drenched and freeze all in four days. Best shopping day is Thursday, and it is a ghost town on Sunday!

Plenty of great stuff even on an off year like last year does turn up. Anyone who goes consistently to shows knows that sometimes there are down times, but those of us who go regularly find our fair share of great stuff especially in the spring at Charlotte.

All you have to do is go back to old posts showing stuff at Charlotte to see plenty comes out there. Not to mention while in town there are some great places to visit like Gary's BBQ in China Grove among others.

I always enjoy Charlotte ! Lots of good friends and always find something. Do bring your own food and especially water. They do rake you on water {4 bucks}. No water fountains, bathroom sinks have hot cold mixers on them so you can't even get cold water off the spicket. Greed prevails. If you ever need any just ask. Always bring plenty of extra for whom ever needs a bottle.

Over priced food , admission ,and drinks. Hornrts nest nazis rule with an iron fist. Dont ask for help unless its from a vendor. I used to go twice a year but havent been in five due to steady decline due to people being punished by the hosts and gouged at every turn. I really used to enjoy this show but have found much more pleasant places to go. I do miss seeing alot of the old guys but I get to see them elsewhere.

I quit going a few years ago as well. It's ok but not what it used to be. CarolinaSkies, Gary's BBQ is ok if you want to look at some old signs and pictures. If you want some real good BBQ, just go up to Jim 'N Nick's there across from Concord Mills. You will throw rocks at Gary's!! The next best BBQ is R&R up on Pitts School Rd, still much better than Gary's.

in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Whats so sad about the whole thing is that more would attend, both vendors and attendees if they were a little nicer and more reasonable. The food concessions would sell double if they would just drop one dollar off the high prices. They could sell five times the drinks if you didnt get bent over every time you got thirsty. The worst thing is not getting to see Miles Little or whatever.
