There is a big gas pump auction (signs, globes, old cars, etc.) in Columbus, Michigan this Sat, 7/24 at 10am, with preview on Fri.
Many pumps look in really good condition.
I'm in Bloomington for the Roy Reed auction, or would be there myself.
Check out the photos below from the auctioneer's website. Auction address is 10355 Dolan Rd.
Auctioneer is Albrecht Auction Service, 989-823-8835 and auction listing and photos can be viewed at www.albrechtauction.com
Hope some oldgas guys can make it.

I was wondering if anyone who attended this auction had an update to how strong or weak the prices were. We were unable to attend, hoping I'm not going to regret not going.

Prices were very strong. The Fry brought $3300, the air meters brought $3500, and $1200 for the pedestal stand. That was the only few items I was bidding on. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend but sent in absentee bids. The auctioneer called me and said that I had not won anything and the crowd was strong as were the prices. I do not have any information on any of the other things, wish I could have went.

Thanks, Phil

The Air Meter Phil refers to that sold for $3,500 was the Arno on the right. The other at $1,200 was the ECO Model 50 next to it. (See the web site listed in Ron's posting above for the photo.)

Here are the prices that Jodi took down while the auction was running. This is from the auctioneers lot listing and the list didn't feature all the various model/cut numbers. Sorry.
Wayne Clockface w/Visaglass $1,300.00
G&B pre-visible w/Push Buttons $450.00
Wayne 60 $1,200.00 (Way to go Jerry!)
Tokheim 34 w/Visaglass $1,400.00 (Jerry again!)
Wayne 10-gallon Electric Visible w/Stonegaurd $900.00
Fry 5-gallon Visible Model 17 w/Stoneguard $2,500.00
Round Curbside w/Tall Neck $275.00
National Duplex, Clockface #50 $3,400.00
G&B Curbside in crate $400.00
American 10-gallon Visible $1,400.00
Tokheim Clockface 850 w/Visaglass $1,400.00
National Simplex 60 w/Visaglass $1,750.00
Wayne Visible 10-gallon 515 $2,800.00
Bowser 41 Self-Measuring Curbside $400.00
G&B T-11 Self-Measuring Curbside $100.00
Tokheim Visible 10-gallon w/Stoneguard $1,150.00
Wayne Visible 10-gallon 519 $450.00
G&B 176 10-gallon Visible $1,300.00
Wayne Visible 10-gallon $1,300.00
Cut-down Visible (incomplete) $115.00
Wayne Model 70 $1,200.00
Tokheim 39 Tall $600.00
Wayne Visible $1,400.00

The Duplex had some internal damage (at least that's what I was told) so that may have contributed to the 'lower than book' value.

Later . . .

Jim
