I listed the size of 3/4" in the title of the listing. Thanks for the inquiries and bids. Tom.

How do you know that it is a visible gas pump hose and not an early fire hose? U.S. R. Co. stands for the U.S. Rubber Company. They had a separate division, the Eureka Fire Hose Division, that made fire hoses. I don't know whether it is a fire hose or a fuel hose. Just wondering how you knew. Joe

Since it says U.S.R.CO and you said the division Eureka made fire hoses, wouldn't it say Eureka if it was a fire hose? Besides, I never saw a 3/4" fire hose only 9' long. From my experience this hose matches all other cloth fuel hoses I have seen Tom.

It's the real deal Model 72. I have 3 pumps beside with the original hoses and nozzles saying the same thing. And, there is no such animal as a 9 ft fire hose.

I have been educated. Thanks for the information. I looked up the patent number displayed on the coupling and it shows a cutaway of the hose with a flexible steel liner on the inside. I assume that was typical until rubber hoses were introduced. Joe

This was a rubber hose with a white cloth covering that prevented the hose from making rubber marks on vehicle paint. Makers of gas hoses used a flexible, coiled inner liner, immediately adjacent to the ends of the hose to prevent kinking, or collapsing, when the end of the hose would get turned vertical while filling an automobile. You never knew what kind of contortions you were going to have to put the hose thru, in order to fill the tank. These metal liners simply prevented that.
