Going over the #2 Catalog ... man, did Kyle have a collection?

BTW, did Kyle have any children?

If so, they would not want the magnificant collection? cool

from what I understand, the Kyle Moore collection did not belong to Kyle anymore. The man he sold it to is the one auctioning it off.

his obituary said he had one daughter

This will be a very interesting auction for me because I have quite a few pieces that are in these last auctions. Dans bid brackets has really surprised me, maybe he likes them as much as I like mine. We'll see?

The cel of Chesapeake energy bought the collection and had hoped to build a muesem on rt 66. You can google him but the dude fell on hard times and leveraged most his personal assets including this and his expensive wine collection. The rest they say is history, he had to sell the collection even though Kyle wanted it to remain in one place.

At least that's what I heard.

I wanted to get by Morphy's this past Sunday to see the preview and attend the auction that was going on, but things changed and I spent a long day driving north. Plan to be at the sale in Jan., at least for one day.

My catalog came yesterday smile. Don't give up yet Bryce - still 3 more days until Christmas..... Disappointed though as it was damaged on the corners just like the first auction catalog. Was hoping they would use cardboard mailers this time to prevent this. Cardboard mailers can't cost THAT much more than bubble wrap envelopes, especially when they are getting $40 for it.....

don't know bout the Midwest but my catalog showed up here in Montana just fine, guess the ride stuffed in between barrels of gunpowder and sacks of flour in the old wagon is easier on them than the usps! Lol

Just got my catalog, WOW, these are nice. No bumps, no bruises, no fouls. Yes it is going to be the reference books of the future.
Thanks again Dan for your help.
