I'm Thinking of having a few sets of Tokheim 36B Station lighter skins made. I have talked to the manufacture about this and he thinks we can reproduce them to the exact standards of the originals. The more sets we make the cheaper they are I would like to get a feel to see if there is any interest in needing a set? A ROUGH guess would be 1000.00 for one set and 550.00 if we could make 5 or more sets. If there was enough interest I'm sure it would get even cheaper if we could get 10 or more sets made. Let me know your thoughts

I had a buddy of mine make a set a few years ago to exact specs. They secured the same way, and looked identical to the originals in every way. He told me that he would never make another set again, LOL

I would think that there would be some interest in these. I dont know of anybody that needs a set at this time though.

Larry we are making them to replace rusted out or missing skins, not to reproduce complete station lighter tops.

The one that I had made was to replace skins that were rotted out. All the cast pieces were original.

Yea, it would be cost prohibitive to accurately duplicate anyway. It's way more than just skins.

I realize this is a specialty item and demand might not be overwhelming, but there is a real need for some repop sheet metal for these lighters. I was lucky enough that I only needed a couple of spears, but that was after purchasing 3 different lighters too. I kept the best of the bunch and sold the rest.
I should think that even as an inventory item, you could profit from having these made?
Not sure why but it seems they were very prone to damage from rust? Maybe the moisture got trapped inside, along with some dirt, and rusted these units up??

It would be interesting to see how many are still out there. I know a couple of my friends have been looking for years to find one with no luck. I was lucky to find one about 15 years ago, yikes, just realize I'm really old!

Just got off the phone with our sheet metal guy we have 5 sets spoken for and have decided that we are making 10 sets plus some extra parts. He has agreed to finish these 10 sets plus parts but NO more after that. If you need any replacement parts for your 36B Island lighter you need to let me know right away before we finish this project.

I'm re-posting this as we had a lack of communication and along my poor math addition skills. The Tokheim 36B Station lighter skins are ready to ship My original ROUGH guess is a little off as the manufacturing and shipping costs were a little higher than we first thought. They are 697.50 for the Tower if you need the ad glass window frames they are 298.25 a set plus exact shipping cost I have 9 towers and 6 sets of the window frames if you have any questions or need additional pictures please let me know Sorry for the confusion Thanks Don

You really do need those window frames if you're going to have a 36B stationlighter! There is just no other way for access into that ad glass top otherwise! You need to be able to reach in there to activate the slide mechanism that locks the decorative spears onto the body. These decorative spears cover up the seam where it bolts together, and these pieces can't be installed until the main casting is in place on top the pump!
I pondered this problem for 2 years until the late, great DB told me about the existence of these special window frames. Problem solved!
