When I was in high school we had gun racks in trucks, and they had guns in them, and they were loaded. We even had fist fights! But never once did someone get ***** and go get a gun to shoot someone. We don't have a gun problem people, we have a people problem, a sin problem, a lack of heart and soul problem, a lack of respect for human life problem, or even a mental health problem....but we DO NOT have a gun problem! I think its easier for some people to blame an inanimate object instead of taking responsibility.

Indeed there is a people problem.
But there is also a gun problem out there by many people.
The hunting rifle in the back window of that truck was meant to go hunting. To bring home game that was meant to feed the family. A handgun was carried by those who handled money and by police, or those working in the fields and ranges where vermin needed to be disposed of.
Today there is a proliferation of a different idea today.
Handguns and semi-automatic rifles for imagined 'self-protection' and the glorification of a gun culture around that imagined purpose. In most of this country the likelihood of being involved in a violent crime involving a weapon is extremely low. The percentage is less than .04% on a daily basis in all but the most crime ridden neighborhoods we could think of on our own.
The number of guns per citizen is over 90 for every man woman and child, yet the national average is less than 30% of homes owning at least one gun(rifle or handgun). This is the shocking truth of the problem. Most citizens don't own a gun and don't have a need or desire to own one, but a small segment (less than 2 million) out of 380,000,000 are attempting to tell the nation that guns are essential for protection in daily life.
Tragedies like the school shooting are one problem, but you know what costs more lives? Gun violence linked to domestic violence not linked to nutjobs. Because handguns have become so pervasive men, women, and even children die daily across the country from intentional and accidental firing of the weapons. Those are the people that really need protection by introducing sensible gun laws in concert with sensible mental health programs to identify at-risk people who may commit acts and those who may become victims.
There is often this saying "But then only criminals will have weapons." That is a false and misleading conclusion. Because the call is not to remove all guns at all. And based on the statistics stated to begin, most individuals will never likely be in a position to worry about criminal gun violence which happens most often between people involved in the criminal activity itself.
Mental health issues aside, if people like the Oregon shooter weren't raised and basted continually with pro-gun propaganda, but instead identified for buying multiple weapons and flagged as suspicious, many of these horrific sensational acts would be stopped or significantly reduced.
I'm not foolish enough to think all gun violence will end, but it surely will not end or de-escalate by continuing to cow-tow to the pro-gun ideal.
Of all the major industrialized nations, we have the worst record when it comes to gun violence because we have ineffective gun laws because we have a pro gun lobby that cares more about guns than lives that will be lost because more guns flood the market daily.

Unstable people with weapons commit crimes !
Stable people with weapons use them for there intended purpose !
This country has produced individuals without heart ,without soul and lacking conscience .
Mothers & dad's and Sister's & brother's all have some idea of the mental state of their children and siblings. By ignoring those red flags early on they are just as responsible as the shooter's whom commit these horrendous crimes.
Society cannot fix problems that are family based , but only deal with them after the fact.Sadly after tragedies such as the most recent incident's.
Guns don't kill people .People kill people . Knifes don't stab people .People use knifes to stab people.
Human beings are responsible for their actions.
Mentally ill ,unstable people are the problem and there are not any mechanisms' in America anymore to deal with them.

That was a very sad story but as said the guns don't commit the crimes the people do . If you notice it's just not attack on gun rights it is still about our freedoms, they keep showing the school shooting and constantly bring up the people shot were ask if they were a Christian like some how religion had something to do with it . Washington will not be happy until right to bear arms and freedom or religion are gone .
Remember you are only as good as your help If you don't make any noise no one will hear you!
