Picked this up at the last Iowa Gas. The guy I purchased it from was adamant that it was/is original. Good porcelain shelving, brass grommets, etc. However after getting it home I can't seem to shake the nagging doubts that it might not be as advertised.
Measures 8" X 18".
Any thoughts on originality would be appreciated.

Lo sign company made one like that in the late 70s there really heavy, no shelf and the white porcelain is printed over blue.lo was a nostalgia sign co before Andy rooney . So not original but old.

8"x18" on a sign like that is a dead give away, These signs were made so people driving by could read them from the road.

Thanks guys, guess I knew deep down that the thing wasn't as advertised. The guy I bought it from is from out West and comes to IG every year. Didn't catch his last name but I will be sure to bring it along next year for a refund

I just saw the similar one on ebay. It is quite a beautiful sign, but a shame that it is not orig. Could somebody educate me and tell me what the "giveaways" are for not orig on these ford signs? It looks like the font is "off" on yours Plain. But I say that with a naive eye.
