HELP!! I just got an old pump with a tag stating that it is a model:GB FMP 2-1 420156 SN# 883 646. It's a very small pump, about 36 in. tall by 18 in. wide with a clockface about 6 in. in diameter. If anyone could date this pump, I would appreciate it. I would also like to buy a new dial face for this as the original is no longer legible. The other question is, should I gut the pump and motor and make it into a pedal car pump with a clock and shelves for my grandson or should I restore it? Thanks for this great web site and your help! These were made by Gasboy to the best of my knowledge. I make a face for the pump. Ron rscobie@gaspump.com

Your FMP2-1 was indeed made by Gilbert and Barker. It is listed a a pump with meter, the FMP3 was without the meter. There was also a pup with a Imperial Gallon meter. There are no dates on my "Parts List" but they were made by G&B before they moved to North Carolina. I have a Parts List available for this model, you can contact me at jhsim@swbell.net
