Hope Maureen doesn't find out I was washing old license plates in the kitchen sink this morning.  The one in back is a dealer ad plate from the Cadillac dealer I worked for in the late 60s to early 70s. It was very grimy. All going up on a soffit in the petro room today.

Did you throw the sponge away, put the drainer back just as it was.

those are some clean plates! better not let her see how clean they are or you'll be doing the dishes too! you could always negotiate to get her to start washing them for you.  I'm lucky... my wife enjoys cleaning up old signs when we get them. she enjoys being able to show off the before & after. but shhh... she doesnt know I snuck up and snapped this picture, lol

I used a pink toothbrush to clean down in some tough spots. Might get in trouble for that if she notices a funny taste. DB used to kid about that. Bryce, you are taking a real risk posting that picture that she might not like. What a deal to have a wife who helps to clean old signs. Keep her happy.
