Hey Guys! I picked up these two pumps last week and I had some questions about the decals on them. I know a little bit about Rainbow but the Gardner 70 is a new one to me. I searched the forum and didn't find out much about it other than some globes with the logo were reproduced. I'm wondering if maybe it was a local company. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Richard! That would make sense. I found the pumps in the lower Yakima valley on a farm a mile from where I grew up. I drove by those pumps every day for 30 years and never noticed them until about 6 months ago!

I sent an Email to the Yakima Historical Society asking if they have any information on the Company? If I "hear" anything, I will post it here...

Thanks for looking into it Bob. Hopefully they know something about the company. It's such a neat logo. I'd love to learn more about it.

Nice pumps. Did you happen to pick them up in Wapato?

Yes they were a few miles outside of town. I figured I couldn't have been the only one who noticed them.

Saw them many years ago, but seller didn't want to sell at the time. Glad you were able to pick them up. Two nice survivors

grin Cool to see another pump with this decal, I found my Tok 39 several years ago in Toppenish with that decal buried under about 12 Shell decals, could be the brother to yours ! Not much out there on Gardner, I've looked for years.....curious to see what the historical society comes up with ! I've found a couple grease cans and the picture was provided by Huskybob (see link) Globes were popped by both T-way & Slama/Buck......very cool find ! Steve Z

Very nice survivors. I would leave the paint as is. Aside from ad glass, I'd procure a proper nozzle and hoses and be done. Without disclosing prices, since they could not be bought prior did you go up and make an offer or did you ask if they were for sale and ask how much? You must have very good negotiating skills to buy what was not obtainable earlier. Nice logos.
