Another "strange thread" from me! But, that's me... A couple of weeks ago, I won a Douglas "Aviation Tested" Gasoline cardboard snap gun on Ebay... A cricket clicker is embedded within the frame of the gun and works when one pushes on the "press here" button... I started doing a little research on the 'net in regards to if these type "guns" from Oil Company's were common? And I was surprised by what I found... I found guns from the 1930s up to the 1960s... Most versions I found were paper pop guns where a folded piece of paper "popped out" and exploded when one flicked their wrist violently... (a good number of the auctions and descriptions of the guns, warned that the folded paper inserts were not in the best of shape from use... So I can imagine, that I lot of Parents were pulling their hair out because of the noise!)

Those are the one's I have "found" on the 'net, so far...
Have you Folks run across others? Maybe have some in your Collections? If so, I hope you will share images.... I am curious to how many different Company's had such "Give-aways"?
Personally, I think these are great. I hope to add some more to the Douglas Oil for an actual display...

Bob; Love this. Hoping someone would show a Marathon/Ohio Oil/Linco version. I have never seen one. So maybe they didn't put one out. I remember in school there was an origami version with a sheet of notebook paper we would make and get in trouble for popping in class. Chuck

Chuck, damn... First Dave, now you... Now, I will need to search through my images...
For some reason, I have a "nagging" memory in the back of my mind; that Linco did have such a gun..
Similar to the AMOCO and CONOCO guns....

Still haven't found an image of the Linco gun, I thought I remembered... But, I can add Sinclair to the "Paper Gun" list. Won this one on Ebay this morning:
