Posting this both to get opinions on value, but also just to illustrate how I think the value forum can still be effectively used.

I found out about this Delco-Remy light a couple years ago, and since have been trying to buy it. Was never able to buy it, but I was able to trade for it last night. It has a vented metal top and bottom with hanger & a light assembly inside surrounded by the plastic ad outside.

In my time of going to shows, auctions, etc... I have not seen another. And nowhere on the internet can I find any reference to one.

What ya think? (voting is anonymous)

What is this Delco-Remy Tune Up Light Worth?

The results are interesting and not really surprising.
I'd rather know who was giving the value opinions rather than trust an anonymous poll.

unfortunately, if people had to reveal what they voted, then they wouldn't have voted in the first place because of the fear of having to defend their answer to someone.

an anonymous poll is the only way to go, nowadays, if you want any feedback at all. but i agree, the results being sporadic does not surprise me

No need to require validation of someone's answer.

The poll denotes a large majority value it between 200-400 - 19 of 25 votes as of this writing. The lower end would be closer to non-serious collectors and the upper end dedicated Delco. The general population is in the middle.

There are always individuals who devalue or excessively value items, but a general on the face consensus gives you a realistic expectation.

Liveauctioneers 2011 result is $550 for earlier Delco sign.

Though the light is earlier and different it gives a point reference for Delco lighting.

the thing i love about OG polls is that you can force users to vote before seeing any results... posting the results in the thread like this ruins that unknown reference point that makes it a raw choice by each person

Well as an owner of one of these and I think Bryce will say the same, This is quite a differently made item and I think once a person handled it they would see that as these were made to resemble the original Delco packaging. IMO That made me feel it's a 300 or up item.

I had an nos one in the box. I usually don't sell items, but traded it to friend for an original neon Mopar clock.

This is meant to be a legitimate question, not trying to be a smartass...

so what is sold at 'Dave's Garage & Memorabilia, Inc.' then?
