I thought I got a good deal and bought several signs and post, and 2 visible pumps. They turned up to be stolen. It's sucks bad, I've lost a lot of money, sleep, and now I got a 2x2x4 empty chuck of concrete that had a nice restored banjo post and sign there. All I can do is file a civil suite that I've sure I'll never get anything back. I asked a lot of questions. But how am I suppose to know. It seemed ok.

Officer in my yard when I got home. Stolen about 20 miles from me. Rightful owner showed up. I felt bad. All I could do was say I was sorry

I live on a pretty busy road. It wasn't hiding at all, but then again I wasn't trying to hide it. Had no idea. I was trying to show it off.

That's sad but it's the day we live in . My son does a lot of buying and selling on Craig's list and I went with him one day when he picked up a golf cart. He got all the information off the mans driver license and I said that's extreme but he said that's the only way to be sure you can file suit to get your money back if goods are stolen . That may not always work but at least he could prove who sold him an item.

I knew who sold it to me. They went to his house. He just made a story where he got it from. We will wait and see

That is just horrible I am sorry you got stung like that, that hurts worse when you trusted the guy and he took advantage of that fact. Hopefully you can recoup some of the money.

I am always looking for anything Texaco or Oklahoma oil and gas company's, also I am a newbie at seeking globes.

Bad deal. Nothing surprises me anymore. My brother in law has a k series rush that has been on there family dairy farm for many years. My sister called me and said someone stole the curved fire cheif pump plate off it recently . A few years back someone tried to pry one corner of ,but failed to steal it . This time they got it.

Having had items stolen before and finding out something I've purchased from a legit source was stolen I feel your pain Danny.

Documenting who sold you the items is your first line of defense. Dealing with reputable sellers is another, they should make it right to you. If the guy is now telling a different story you know he either knew it was stolen or suspected it could be stolen. Taking him to court is about your only recourse for recovery if he isn't offering to repay you your money since I doubt that SC law will allow you recovery under victim services.

When people come to my house to purchase or sell items I have a video of them. It is just a simple Moultrie 150 trail camera mounted on the front porch that takes 90 sec. video clips of everything. You never know. It photos their vehicle, them, the items, etc. Dave
