Is there any significance to the three signal flags on the Shell license plate topper? My search on the net says they represent the letters G R P; unless I'm reading them wrong. Thanks for any insight, if this has been discussed already, I apologize for rehashing.

Vern the license topper is from Shell's "Share the Road" Safety Promotion.. The Promotion ran from the late 1930s to the early 1940s...

I love this forum! What a concept; Share the Road. But I'm sure the Screwdirvers & Screwjays really looked for the topper. thanks guys for the education.
