Looks great! The six foot light ups are hard to find. Adding neon is a great idea. Brady

I believe the early to mid 60's. Back in the day at least up here the Texaco stations had this country look with a brick chimney and they were on each side. This one was on the leeward side and survived well the other one was fairly faded. Most of these did not survive as they are bit floppy and tend to bend in the middle when just propped up on a wall. The old fella that stored this one had laid it flat and wrapped after his station closed.....so the grandson relayed to me. Thanks,

I should have said a "few" had that country look with the brick chimney. I will post a photo when I find it again.

This is the suburban bungalow look popular in the late 50's and 60's for some Texaco Stations. This one is in Edmonton AB. Note the chimney and you can see where these were mounted. One Texaco I remember one that was finished with cedar beams and rock work with a huge river stone chimney and had the 6' acrylic's on either side of that. Shell did similar in the day with their Shell acrylics. It gave them that homey look and feeling and appeal for drivers to stop in for that two person full service fill up to promote that happy motoring on a driving summer holiday good experience. I wish I had 1/2 of the free handouts that I picked up in the day on those trips.

Thanks. Here is a better photo of how the these stations looked with the chimney and 6' Acrylic signs. For sure a beacon at night for motorists.
