Blue Ribbon Auction Services in Amherst Va. is having an auction on Jan. 1, Bad pictures but if you look close there are several gas and oil items. There is a rack of oil bottles an early Bowser curb pump, large plastic Texaco and BP signs. Lots of little advertising items mixed in. Dr Pepper soda machine, fire hydrant etc. Yes some of this stuff is mine so I might as well promote it. It will all go reasonable to dirt cheap which is what happens to me when I put things in auctions.

I can most likely deliver to Mason Dixon or Dixie Gas if you see something.
PS. This is a good honest auctioneer. I leave bids with him on a regular basis and he bids competitively. I have even left bids on items I know he owned and won them at a fraction of what I left as a bid.

I just talked with the auctioneer and left a few bids. He will be posting some more pictures tonight. He just got in a few more things. He has a display cabinet with Coca Cola glass inserts. If it is the one I am thinking of , it is nice. Also a Piedmont sign NOS, a Thornhill Wagon poster.

I quickly went through the auction bill and that cannon with the sled of balls caught my eye. And my wife quickly blinded me! If I lived on an acreage that would be mine! But the HOA where I am wouldn't appreciate my sense of external decor. Could you imagine the shipping costs on that item?

Well I heard there were 400 bidders. The Coca- Cola display case went for $1100 , pedal car for $675 and I might have got one of the several items I left bids on, I don't know what yet.

This is a good indication that my stuff might have done well. I guess I will hear the talk when I get back home.
