Ryan that Cosden gas is awesome.
Here are two of mine first is a Mfa oil sign not very pretty but it's only the second one I have ever seen and since I collect Mfa well had to have it.

Second is this Clark sign got it last week. I have been after it for years but the guy wasn't ready to sell. So when I saw it on Facebook forsale I went to his shop. He didn't no what I was talking about but he would sell it so we struck a deal and it's in my garage now

Originals only for me. Always looking for Simpson oil, Super A, and MFA oil cans and globes.

Well, its been a fantastic year for me, with a lot of finds and lucky acquisitions.
Since my first love is gas pumps, my BOTY has to be the Wayne 60 showcase I bought in the hills of South Dakota.
When it comes to signs, to finally be able to purchase this Texaco Marine sign from my good friend Petro Pete, has to top the list!
While not oil & gas, the Long Island Duckling sign had to be the most challenging to get possession of, and the most admired by the Warden.
Lastly, the purchase of this Red Indian globe from my friend Ted, has to top the globe purchases for the year!
I've had 2 other tremendous purchases this year, but don't have either in my possession yet, so they will have to wait until next year! Both are worthy of BOTY, and I look forward to posting them for all to see.
What's really exciting is the thought of the new discoveries and finds that will be possible in the coming year! The stuff is out there, and its just a matter of networking with others, and spending some time searching thru newspapers, the internet, and old rumors!
Good luck to everyone in 2015, its gonna be exciting!

This year was a Skelly year for me with two buys, one of five globes in January and one buy of I think twelve more later in the year (Thanks Maurice). The Skelly bug bit me last year when I purchased a complete collection from Larry Ivy that included five globes. For some reason, after that it started raining Skelly globes and I couldn't seem to stop buying them. There are still a few I don't have so I'm not out of the woods yet. This is a picture of some of them, the rest I have scattered around, some not even unboxed as I plan to get shelving built this winter for a Skelly wall, I'll post that when it's done later on. The Aviation globe in the pic is a repop/fantasy but I think its kinda cool anyway. Also, I was thrilled to find the mint Blue Sunoco on metal from TedC in December, thanks Ted. It is still on its way here but I figured it qualified for this post......I have several more buys of the year but will have to shoot some pics of them. A lot of great buys here, the Oldgas network is a virtual gold mine for those of us who are lucky enough to be a part of it....GB

Very nice buys posted so far....like them all!!! This is always tough for me; it's like picking a favorite child...they're all special in their own unique way. The porcelain lubrication rack is 6 ft tall & 42" wide. Since I posted pic's of it in the BOTW I've noted that the top graphic's of the airflow car were copied and made into a flat porcelain sign. I guess the repopper's liked it as much as I do.

Great stuff so far everyone!

My year overall has been good. Not a whole bunch of stuff, but its up and down year to year. I bought another mustang so I am excited about that. That has resulted in not much petro over the last few months. My new 1970 fastback is gonna be a fun project.

Here are a few of my favorites from this year (2014). Here's to another great year!

My primary petroliana habit is pump collecting. I added several keepers this year but my favorites are an Aqua E-700 and an American 900, both thanks to Tom Buckles and a G&B 655 that John Kramer (junknjohn) helped to assure me was a good deal.

Nice buys everyone.
Not a lot for me in the line of "big ticket" items in 2014. Most of the additions to my Mobil collection were smalls, but I was very happy to add this super rare Mobiloil Marine square gallon to my collection. It was the only one I had ever seen so it was a must have.

As I reflect back on the year, it brings to mind how many friends and fellow members the Old Gas community has lost, and how much they will be missed. It also makes me think about how much the hobby has changed for me personally and the many new friendships I’ve made.

My wife and I have put in a lot of windshield time this past year, have met a lot of fellow collectors, and have seen a lot of beautiful country in the process. We've seen some really nice stuff from fellow gassers bought, sold, and traded with some rare finds too. We are hoping to attend some of the Midwest shows this year, as long as work doesn’t get in the way. With the coming of the New Year I hope it brings in many new members and lots of good discoveries.

Here are some of our favorites, and I hope the coming year brings joy and growth for everyone. Keep them coming!

So my dad got a Gargoyle base for peanuts via a local metal scrapper then I got the top today....pretty rough....but we'll still enjoy it. It's going into my Dads garage first....hopefully it'll be a long time before it ends up in mine!

A bit slack this year. The Pontiac went to fellow OG members who have room to display it. It was surely worth keeping, but the reality is that I would never get to fully enjoy it. My fowl doesn't match Kevin's, but I think it's quite attractive. Looked for years for a complete Southland globe and would still like to upgrade, but they just don't pop up often.

Wow!!!! You guys got some awesome stuff last year!

I picked up the trapezoid shaped Triple Check sign from a fellow oldgasser to go with the 4' and beat up 6 footer I already had.
I'll post some more of my BOTY later.

I just started collecting oil and gas this year. So for me it is my first piece I bought which was pure good luck to find a original gas globe for a local company that no longer exsists. Then my uncle gave me a bunch of smalls to go with it, then I only wanted a couple oil cans to match, well the rest is history.......

Another of my 2014 BOTY.

I just got a new camera and I must be doing something wrong because the color is way off.

Best year yet for quality pieces. It's funny how much easier it gets the longer you've been in the hobby. Here's a few of my favorites

Thanks guys,
I usually don't buy a lot of foreign signs but I couldn't pass these up. Been after that California Oil sign for about 10 years cause of the early airplane graphics on it. Its heavy heavy porcelain.

I was told the Dunlop clock used to belong to Kyle Moore.

Hello, I collect Mobil.
All three of these items came out of the same garage, as found, never touched.
They are in super shape.
