Does anybody know what this is? I couldn't find another picture of one anywhere on the Internet. I found references to Calol that say it became or was part of Standard oil of California. The tag is made out of wood or weird plastic or some kind of dried leather. It's curved and does not bend. it's about 3 inches wide, two inches tall, 1/8" thick. I found a reference that some piece of equipment at NASA used the 65X oil.

Tag was likely attached to a valve on a tank wagon or loading rack.

...I'm thinking these went on the baskets that held bulk oil bottles...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
