I would like to purchase a correct gate valve for my FRY 17 currently under restoration. Also need a correct nozzle and hose for this project. Any assistance to obtain these items would be appreciated.

Still looking to purchase a gate valve for a Fry 17 5 gallon. Anyone have one that they can part with?

You might consider purchasing a new one and an old style reproduction handle from Ron Scobie. Age the valve with ammonia fumes and age the handle(which is iron)by painting, crackle finish it, sand a few spots and dark it with some wood stain. You may leave it as is or seal with clear coat.Keep searching for an original though...and good luck. Dave

There is a 2" Hoffman Gate valve on ebay for 75-. A little big, but it has an 'authentic' look to it.

Dave,

Thanks for the heads up on the gate valve, but I just noticed your message and can not find the valve on eBay. Do you have the item number?

Dave,

FINALLY !!!

As you suggested earlier, a handle from Ron Scobie will finish this part of the project.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
