Love seeing great globes... Why are we posting reproductions? I noticed one other fantasy globe posted. But when I get an original globe that I can post I will. WJCurator

There's something wrong with that globe body. It's all bumpy. Send it to me and I'll send you a nice smooth one to replace it.
Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros. http://www.lastgas15.com/

Nothing flashy about the Zip Price globe but probably the only Rarity 6 globe I will ever own.

I'm not sure I have one favorite globe. At first I was going to post my RJ Oils 500 globe but John posted his on his historically correct restored pump. Then I figured I'd post my Sinclair Aircraft but Steve posted his (alongside his favorite Zip Price globe). So I figured I'd post this one since my last name is Drake....

Jim, That Franklin globe is fantastic! Do you have any info on the company that used it?
Dennis, It doesn't any better than a globe that pictures a car, pump and globe!

Just what Scott and Wayne published: Rackliff Oill Company out of New Britain, CT. No company history.
I got this off of e-bay years ago. I've never seen (or heard of) another one.
FYI - I believe this image was originally intended to be a 13.5" lens. The white outer border is 3/4" (times two = 1.5", from 15.0" = 13.5") and there are some other clues on the art that lead me to believe it was supposed to only be a CAPCO/Glass Body globe.
None-the-less, there was enough existing information on my original lens for me to do a reproduction.
Here is a shot of what it would have looked like when it was new.
