I bought these two signs. They are labelled as made in England in the same script on the bottom edge. The one sign "Occidental" has a poorly made white perimeter line-as bad as I have seen. The "H" in the "the" is poorly done as well. However the signs are not on the web as reprops and the back of the one sign has the remnants of the wall it was mounted on. Which is in keeping with its supposed location for the last 30-40 years. Any thoughts to it authenticity? I have a feeling its original but made for an out of the way locations. Both Companies were in operation in the early 1900s in England. The shelving is good and it should clean up a bit more and glisten I hope.

Fred, did you buy the sign to celebrate some fond memories of drinks had at the Occidental Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba?

Neat signs and story Fred . Reminds me of a old heavy dodge brothers sign I had once , looks like the same blue colors.
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

Dave I had a drink or two at the Criterion Hotel which was around the corner. The Ox was too rough for me AND ironically enough it burned down. The Insurance company wasn't named for that event! LOL
