"Monty's" signs still on the roof. Looks like neon. Looks like an M&S 80 off to the right in the "then" pic. What would have been being sold off to the side like that? Kerosene?

What would have been being sold off to the side like that? Kerosene? My guess would be diesel. In my home town there were two stations, a Mobil and a Phillips that had diesel on the side. i also saw a station along highway 2 in northern Montana that had an old pump inthe back and it was located there for diesel. But, just an opinion.

I would also say the single pump is diesel. My dad had diesel Mercedes cars from 1964 to 1975. I recall that we either got diesel at truck stops or the "old pump at the back/side of the station".
