Hi, Gang. I'd appreciate some value input on these three oil bottles:

-Tall Texaco 574 Oil, fired-on graphics, NOT a
decal. Black T outline.

-Tall LNCO-Marathon, fired-on graphics. Logo is
complete. I just couldn't capture it in one photo.

-GUDOL, decaled logo bottle. Definitely an original.
I couldn't find out anything about this brand.

Texaco is a forgery. Linco is correct. Gudol looks like real bottle with applied paper label. Cant say about authenticity .

Thanks for your input, wocopep. I would like to wait for comments from others regarding the Texaco 574 bottle. I will keep an open mind, but this bottle has been in my collection for about 35 years. Also, I don't believe I have ever seen an older FIRED-ON graphics oil bottle that was a fake. But of course, I'm open to learning something new every day (contrary to what my wife thinks!).

Finally, I realize you don't have the GUDOL bottle in front of you, but you are mistaken about it having an "applied paper label". I am holding the bottle, and the round logo area is definitely a water transfer decal. Again, this is a bottle I've had for over three decades.

I would have to go with real on the Gudol bottle. Hard to tell from the pic posted. How about a pic of the bottom of the Texaco bottle.

Hi, Wocopep. Your pronouncement of "real" on the LNCO/Marathon and the GUDOL bottles is most appreciated. However, I was really looking for value input from Old Gas members, per my original post, since I never had any concerns about "real" or "reproduction". Thank you. John

Linco is all I can chime in on. $85-$100 from what I see in the photo. Good except for discoloring (should be white). Demand flucuates widely with the current availability on those.
