Very well done Mike! You have definitely improved on that globe. Its always a hard decision when contemplating restoration on something that isn't "totaled". I think you made the right choice here. Beautiful piece!

It's always exciting when you get to the re assembly part of any restoration but "No one ever tells you how really nervous one gets when your snapping in rings around lenses of a rare globe" LOL

Up till a few years ago I wasn't really a globe guy and only had a few but now I got enough of them that it's time to build a globe shelve/cabinet. Another project!

Here's one this morning taken unlit amongst friends.
