I had a busy day yesterday finishing up the viper. I also put 6 tires on my step fathers dually, and sold my plow truck.
We have a bunch of paint jobs lined up, I really dont like doing them, as they seem to take along time compared to collision work.
I am going to spend the day doing paperwork (yea! my favorite) and run some errands. I ordered my new plow last night, so I better get down to the plow shop and give them some $$. Here is a picture of the plow...
After I get my "stuff" done, the bulldogs and I are heading out to the cabin to work. I am hoping to get the roof finished, the insulation in the walls finished, and do the last of the wiring. It should not be a problem being that my wife is staying home because she has to work.
Morning Ryan and all you other Old Gassers visiting these pages! I gutted 3 pumps yesterday and I will haul them to my shop for pressure washing and detailing today. Its going to be in the 70's, so the weather is perfect for it!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Morning all, Ryan I think the purple over pink was good choice. Looks great. Spent the morning changing the plugs on my f150 /5.4L. Man they make it tough the way they try to hide them from you. Going to move everything out of the garage and mop floors and then move it back in.
Loyd... hopefully its not a 04-06 F150... those plugs were the worst! 2-piece plugs that broke off when trying to remove. Ford even made a specialized extraction tool to get out the remaining piece because nearly half of them break!

I just heard about that! Seems that sometimes the extraction tool didn't work and the heads would have to be removed! Changing plugs can cost up to $2000! The Warden has an 05--maybe time to trade it???

Kevin... its absolutely true. I had an 04 F150 for a year or so in 2010. I fought with mine & ended up I called several repair shops. Had at least 2 shops turn down the job stating that it was too difficult to be worth the time.
Finally took to one shop that would do it, and it was around $800 for the job. If I remember right, the replacement plugs were around $25-$30 each too!
had lots of problems with that truck... the plugs was just one. also had a knocking or ticking to the engine (supposedly a cam-phaser issue), made the truck sound like a diesel... tried all kinds of things to diagnose & fix it with no resolution. also the bed shook at a certain speed... you could see the bed shaking in the mirror as you were cruising.
couldn't get rid of that truck fast enough!
here's the sound I was referring to: (google F150 camphaser issue)
Wow, started with a great paint job, albeit ugly paint, then with to two piece plugs? Really! Never seen two piece plugs. Do ya pay twice for two piece plugs?
