Hi guys,

Picked up these Irving cans for a few bucks awhile back. Brand new to the hobby and still learning what's what. Had never seen Irving stuff before these cans. Can anyone give me a value and aprox year? Not a picker or flipper, started out thinking all old cans should be $5 smile. Thanks
Mike

Mike.

I have the same cans in my collection as well. From what I have learned those cans are valued between $50 to $80 each in the condition shown. The earlier Irving oil cans included graphics on the cans where some of the airplane graphics cans are highly sought and quite valuable. There is a very nice paraffin based Penn-Lube can with diamond graphics that is a great one to collect. Just Google Irving oil cans and search images to see what they offered. Good luck.

Thanks for the info Earl, I appreciate it. These just became the most valuable cans I have so far, lol.

There are a bunch of Irving cans coming up at auction next weekend at Shackleton in Ontario. I saw a few nice groups. Maybe keep an eye on them to see what they sell for.
